I think it is Fall but I’m not so sure some of these days. It’s either really hot or really cold. Some areas already have snow – before Halloween. Many of us have been hit by the sinus and cold season and trying to get over that. Whatever has come your way – bad weather, illness, personal struggles, I hope you have been able to overcome it with success.
It’s been a busy time for IAAP. We’ve had our Leadership Development Conference in Dickson in September, a New Member Orientation in October, our annual fundraiser golf tournament, and the holidays are coming before we know it. With that in mind, we hope to be a part of community involvement in our area. I hope you will reach out to those in need this holiday season and all year round. The needs are plenty every day of the year. Sometimes we get busy in our own lives and are not aware of those needs. Thank a Veteran for their service in the military! Your life just might be a little better because of their sacrifice.
I know you are probably thinking why all the doom and gloom? It’s not that at all. I just want to remind you all that we face struggles day after day and most of us have someone in our lives to help with those struggles or that we can turn to, but many do not. It may be your act of kindness that helps them make it one more day. I have personally been trying to be more thankful about what I do have instead of being concerned with what I don’t. Reach out to those in need!
